2010-2011 Doe Officers
The Doe Club was founded in 1968 with 28 members. The membership is now over 300. The mission of the Doe Club is to promote the civic and cultural welfare of the community, fellowship with members an to assist the Elks in carrying out their service to the community. We assist the Elks when called upon with activities such:
Flag Day Reception - Memorial Service and Reception
We also sponsor:
Children's Christmas Party
Children's Easter Egg Hunt
Sunshine Baskets for the sick and shut-ins at Christmas time
Needy families at Thanksgiving and Christmas
Dances, Family Picnics and Covered Dish Dinners
We make donations each year to many charitable organizations such as:
Veterans Hospital
Ronald McDonald House
"All Night Long" Prom Party
Elk's Youth Camp
Rescue Squads, and many others..............
We raise money through raffles, bake sale, craft fair, and by running the Bingo concessions each Wednesday night.
Our meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month except April, July, August and October. During these months, our meetings are on the third Thursday. The Elks and the Does may have dinner together before our respective meetings. Our annual dues are $20.00 payable in April. There is a one time initiation fee of $15.00 with your application. You receive your own name badge and key card which allows you access to the Lodge.
We are a worthful benevolent club. Should you join and participate, you will find it rewarding and you will began to make new friendships.
